Questions
- What is the difference between an estimate, a quote and an offer?
- They are local names for the same thing: a price you give before doing the work. Americans usually say estimate, the British and Australians quote, and much of Europe offer (tilbud, Angebot, offerte). Pick the word your clients use.
- How long should an estimate be valid?
- Thirty days is common. Choose a validity period and the “Valid until” date prints on the estimate.
- How do I turn an accepted estimate into an invoice?
- Choose Convert to invoice. You get an invoice with the same lines, the next invoice number and today’s date, and the estimate stays in My invoices.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. Estimates are made and saved in your browser and never leave your device unless you send the PDF yourself.
