Cleaning invoice template
Cleaning jobs repeat, so the fastest invoice is the one you only type once. Fill this in for your first client, download the PDF, and next time start from a copy with the date already moved on.

What to put on a cleaning invoice
- The address that was cleaned, if it differs from the billing address
- Each visit with its date, or one line per visit type (regular, deep, move-out)
- Hours or a fixed price per visit — whichever you quoted
- Supplies or extras such as oven or window cleaning on their own lines
For weekly clients, invoice monthly with one line per visit. One invoice is easier for them to pay than four.
Questions
- Should I charge cleaning by the hour or by the job?
- Either works on this invoice. Put hours in the quantity column and your hourly rate in the price, or use a quantity of 1 and a fixed price for the whole job.
- Can I add the cleaning supplies I bought?
- Yes. Add them as their own line so the client sees exactly what they are paying for, and set the tax rate for that line if supplies are taxed differently.
- How do I invoice a recurring cleaning client?
- Open your last invoice for them in My invoices and choose Duplicate. The copy gets the next invoice number and today’s date, so you only change the visits.
