What to put on a tutoring invoice
- The student’s name, in the client details or the description
- Each lesson with its date, or the number of lessons in a package
- Your rate per lesson or per hour
- Materials or exam fees, if any
Invoice packages in advance (“10 lessons, paid up front”) and you will spend far less time chasing payments.
Questions
- How do I invoice a package of lessons?
- Use one line, for example “10 lessons, paid in advance”, with quantity 10 and your price per lesson.
- Can parents pay by bank transfer?
- Add your bank details or payment link in the payment details box. It prints on every invoice.
- Do I need to charge tax?
- It depends on your country and income. If you do not charge tax, leave the tax rate empty and no tax line appears.
